Who is Edgebury Primary School Parent School Association?
Edgebury Primary School PSA is a parent led charity who organise a range of fun activities for the children, parents and school staff throughout the year. We have a committee consisting of a Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. We also have two parents per class who act as class representatives and who help communicate information from the PSA to other parents in their child’s class. An important bonus is that, through our regular social events, the PSA helps promote a strong school community for children, parents and teachers alike.
How do we raise money?
We organise a range of fund raising events throughout the year such as cake sales, quiz nights, Halloween and Easter themed activities to name a few and these help bring children, parents and staff together, raising money and building a school community. Our local community are welcomed to join our main events, the Christmas and Summer Fayres, which also support and promote local businesses.
Where is the money spent?
The money we raise helps to pay for valuable resources for the school. With school budgets getting tighter; the school pays the essentials – staff and building operational costs, but there is nothing spare for ‘extras’ such as library books, computing equipment, forest school area, playground improvements etc. The PSA aims to raise funds to enrich the school experience for the children, and to improve the outdoor areas.
