Edgelearning runs small tuition groups for predominately primary age
pupils and secondary pupils in years 7 & 8. We pride ourselves on
helping children grow in confidence, support them as they progress
through the school year and help prepare them for examinations.
We can help with 11 plus exam preparation, English and
Mathematics, entrance exams for private schools, SAT’s, or general
additional tutoring to help your child gain confidence and be happier
with their subjects at school.
Classes are based centrally in Chislehurst in small groups. The first
session is free, giving you the chance to see if we are the right fit for
your child. Every child has areas of strength and areas to work on
and tuition in a different setting to school or home can help them to
build confidence and focus on their individual needs
Tutoring is led by Paul, who has over 25 years of teaching
experience leading English and Mathematics in Primary School. He
lives locally with his wife (a retired teacher) and daughter, who is
currently at Secondary School.

Paul at Edge Learning tutored my daughter in Year 5 mainly for 11+ preparation. The weekly sessions covered off parts of the curriculum we felt she needed boosting on as well lots of practice papers ..
My daughter went from being on the weaker side of Maths to being now in the top set . She passed her Kent test and is now at a local school in a grammar stream and has the confidence and calmness with all tests that I am sure is down to Paul’s calm , collected way he approached the test revision which I think has stayed with her.

For anybody looking for private tutoring for Primary kids, I couldn’t recommend Paul more. He has been working with Theo for the last 5 months and since then Theo’s work has come on leaps and bounds! Pauls patience and enthusiasm with the kids is unmatched. Thank you Edge Learning!

If any parent is thinking of home toutoring or would just like their child to do better, I couldn’t think of a more suitable person than Paul. My daughter was looking at sitting her 11+ a couple of years ago and Paul offered his services. From the very first lesson, he was very carming, professional and he has a very wide range of teaching styles that caters for all levels. My daughter is now in the middle of her GCSE’s and I strongly believe with Pauls knowledge and guidance has enabled her to flourish and is on track to gain some very high grades. I fully recommend and encourage anyone that wants the same for their child, look no further.
