Edgebury Primary School has announced that Michael Morpurgo, the world renowned author of War Horse and other outstanding children’s novels, will be officially opening the school on Saturday 8th July 2017.
The school will be using the occasion to not only celebrate the completion of the new building works which have greatly extended and modernised the school but they will also be holding their annual Summer Fair! There will be a range of stalls and activities including bouncy castles, sumo wrestling, Higgs The Butcher’s BBQ, t-shirt spraying, festival face and hair painting, hook the duck, homemade cakes, ice cream and much more!
Edgebury Primary School hope that the children and wider community will be delighted and inspired to meet Michael, and to have him play a part in celebrating the lively and full life the school leads at Edgebury. The event will take place between 12-3pm, with the official opening at 2pm. It is open to everyone in the Chislehurst community and admission is free.
