Did you think Chislehurst was a quiet, peaceful place to live? Not on Saturday June 17th 2017, when Chislehurst Rocks!!!
Chislehurst Rocks is a free music festival and fun day created by local people for local people. Grab your family & friends and come to Chislehurst’s very own music festival and family fun day for all ages held in Walden Rec (the top field of Chislehurst Recreation Ground) running from 11am – 9pm. Last year we enjoyed live original music and entertainment from All the Arts, The Dirty Perks, Curious Incident, Little Blue Light and Zebadee to name but a few. A variety of genres – something for everyone! There will be fun and games for the whole family. Bring your picnic or grab a drink from the Bar and something delicious from the food stalls. See you there!!
Started in September 2011 by The Friends of Chislehurst Recreation Grounds, and organised by Lollipop Events Ltd, it has since become a very successful annual event in the Chislehurst calendar attracting 4,000 to 5,000 visitors over the course of the day. Their mission is to give everyone a great day out while providing a platform for up and coming talent.
They bring together all kinds of amazing local people who volunteer their time free of charge to put on this fantastic event. The event would not be possible without these people, the generous support of our local clubs, societies and businesses, 100 club members and grants that we have applied for.
